Volunteer With Us

The Troup-Harris Public Library is proud of its dedicated group of volunteers.  You too can join our elite corps of helping hands!  You will make a big difference in the quality of library service in your community by sharing your time and talents.  Volunteering will offer you benefits, by providing the opportunity to build needed job skills and references, to satisfy community service requirements, or simply to stay active, help people, and keep up with the latest books and programs.
There is an ongoing need at all locations for help sorting and shelving materials, checking books in and out, shelf reading, computer assistance, tutoring, and helping with special projects.  Many volunteers come with ideas of their own on how they might improve services, and we’d like to hear yours!  You’ll receive the training you need, and work side by side with staff in every library activity.

Interested?  Fill out one of the below applications.  Thank you for volunteering – many hands make lighter work for all!

Due the recent extreme weather, its results, and impending severe storms the Troup-Harris Regional Library will be closed today, Monday the 27th. We will plan on reopening Tuesday the 28th.
